Actively shaped team culture by leading an ERG, mentoring teammates on their career journeys, and writing blog posts for marketing.
- Deployed a GenAI knowledge center and chatbot app to production using Amazon Bedrock, Titan Embeddings, and a multi-stage structured chunking ingestion pipeline built with Textract and Python.
- Created a transactional data simulator for an FDIC compliance application that used LLM-based statistical modeling to produce synthetic data for hundreds of millions of daily bank account activities.
- Delivered a reusable multi-tenant dependency injection framework and management app for AWS Step Functions, letting multiple tenants reuse existing artifacts and ops teams manage scheduling without complex IaC pipeline changes.
- Led engineering teams in moving legacy scheduled tasks to Lambda and EventBridge, cutting the cost of periodic tasks by over 90%.
- Migrated an HP 3000 mainframe system from file-based source control and job scheduling to GitHub and AWS CodeDeploy, with comprehensive staff training and documentation.
- Provided thought leadership with an account executive for one of Caylent's top 10 accounts, growing the portfolio to nearly $4M in work expansion and renewals as a technical strategist.

Software Architect / Developer Advocate
August 2022 - November 2023Set technical direction and best practices for the software engineering org. Worked closely with product and operations leadership to provide sustainable feature designs and find the best code ROI for a given feature.
- Led team members 1:1 and in groups to foster innovation and a collaborative culture, improving the engineering team's eNPS over the year.
- Brought the engineering org to consensus on a style guide, which cut code review times from weeks to hours and gave modernization a path forward.
- Reduced cloud costs by guiding AWS infrastructure choices and evangelizing the Well-Architected Framework across S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Step Functions, and Fargate.
- Created a Node.js microservice repository template with an npm package for uniform delivery and updates, using Koa.js, TypeScript with JTD validation, and OpenTelemetry tracing.
- Improved database responsiveness from multiple minutes to a few seconds on MySQL and Elasticsearch through performance tuning and data lifecycle management.
- Coached Domain Driven Design, REST API design, data structures, object oriented design, authorization access patterns, and other computer science concepts.

Architect, Cloud Transformation
January 2019 - July 2022Responsible for technical architecture and the cloud transition of the Global Trade Management project: interviewing and mentoring associate architects, reviewing and approving REST APIs, and managing vendor relationships for product components (AWS OpenSearch, Elastic Cloud, Basis Tech).
- Initiated a $200k/year vendor relationship with Elastic Cloud and managed the full onboarding process, including vendor, security, and architecture reviews.
- Created software designs and technical documentation to decompose a monolith using domain driven design and vertical slice architecture, securing project funding from the segment CTO.
- Created capability maps and mentored twelve agile teams (~200 staff) on domain driven design, microservice design, data architecture and C4 models, acting as liaison to the TR global architecture board and principal executive architects.
- Led a team re-engineering an MS SQL Server database to Elasticsearch, increasing service capacity by 1800x while reducing license and infrastructure costs.
- Created a streaming telemetry stack in C# deployed with CloudFormation, leveraging Elasticsearch to cut average case resolution time by 40 minutes for helpdesk engineers.
